Lab-as

After a day of walking, walking and walking, we had lunch at Lab-as. Because I saw large groupers at the Silliman Museum and thought how lovely it was to have some for lunch, we ordered some grilled lapu-lapu. We also had kinilaw, buttered chicken and steamed vegetables.

The kinilaw isn't really amazing. I find that in Payag Jo's Inato in Bohol better. But the kinilaw is a perfect partner to everything else we ordered. I like its texture and how it just melts in your mouth, and the spices that came with it. Yum yum.

The steamed vegetables was everyone's favorite. We all liked the free refill of ginamos that complemented the bland vegetables.

The buttered chicken wasn't also that amazing but it was plenty.

And the least favored was the grilled lapu-lapu. It was small and not tasty amidst the spices stuffed inside.

All in all, we had a very hearty lunch.

I would love to try the pizza at Hayahay sometime.
