JJ's Dimsum and Seafood Village

We had lunch at 2 something already so even if there were only 4 of us, we had what else but Patatim, Tinolang Isda, Fried Chicken, Garlic Rice and some other rice I forgot.

The food arrived after 15 minutes.

The soup was hot and not scalding. It was tasty and had a lot of fish in it.

The fried chicken was so-so. Yes, it was plenty and delicious but it didn't really shine because of the Patatim. :D

The Garlic Rice was the loser while the other rice is so-so.

The Patatim was huge, topped with plenty of kangkong and came with my favorite Fried Bread. :) The Patatim was tender and really huge that we had a hard time consuming it. And the taste is so heavenly. No overpowering taste of wine or what. It supported my opinion that the best Patatim can be found in Bohol. :)

Bojol Grill

My friends wanted to videoke so I accompanied them to Bojol Grill. I had Halohalo. It was good because there was plenty of milk in it. There was gulaman, nata de coco, langka, ube, leche flan and ice cream. Yum yum!

The Swiss Restaurant

Because I was bored, I went out to try new food. And so, it was to the Swiss Restaurant I went.

I had the Pork Bratwurst with Onion Sauce and Potato Salad. I should have had the Cordon Bleu but decided to stay safe by ordering the sausage.

After about 8 minutes, a complimentary roll of bread arrived in a basket. It looked bland and disgusting but it was soft and tasty. I like it even without a spread of butter over it. I didn't want to consume it lest I get full before my main course but I wanted to make the most of my experience so I gobbled everything. :D

After 10 minutes, my sausage arrived. It was large, well-fried and topped with onion sauce and bits. A bite revealed its meatiness and tastiness. I sliced another portion and dipped it in the onion sauce and was even more amazed. I poured more onion sauce from the saucepot that came with my sausage. This didn't go along well though and proves that too much of something is bad.

My potato salad was cold and had onion bits on top of it. I didn't like that the potato was chopped into very small pieces but it was boiled right and was not too tough nor too mushy. It tasted quite sour. The onions added a bit of tanginess to it but got quite yucky towards the end of my meal.

The service is the greatest! Although I was the only customer in the restaurant from the moment I entered to the moment I left, the waitresses were attentive. They even ask you your name so they can call you with it and ask you how your food is in the middle of your meal. The airconditioning unit is too small though. :-|

Jojie's Painitang Bol-anon

On my second visit to Jojie's, I had Budbud Manga and Biko Dukot. Both were priced at P10.

The biko was not amazing and so was the budbud. But both were delicious.

Brewpoint

I wanted to eat salad but there was no greens at home so I went to Brewpoint. While ordering, I changed my mind and had cheeseburger instead. At P90, it was expensive and not worth it considering its so-so taste.

The service was slow like everything else in Bohol. But I was there for the wi-fi. ;)

Dumaluan Beach Resort Cottages

One day, we decided to avoid the usual crowd at DBR 1. There are always many people there that sometimes, I long for the old Bohol where people were few and less establishments were on the beach. So we headed to the cottages in between Bohol Beach Club and Dumaluan Beach Resort 1 to eat and relax.

My friends and I ordered grilled pork and grilled squid.

I could live on grilled pork alone but the people I were with wanted to eat squid. I couldn't blame them especially if they are city people. Because seafoods are scarce and expensive aside from its not being fresh from where they're from...

The squid was tender, tasty and stuffed with onions and tomatoes. Its looks alone make you salivate.

The grilled pork had a considerable amount of meat in it. It was not the usual salt and soysauce marinade but sweet like street barbecue. It was good nonetheless.

The atmosphere was laidback with only one table occupied. I will make my guests eat and stay here in the future.
